Programs: Day Camps: Advance Camp

One Week Sessions | Girls Rock | Advance Camp | The Blast

New Format! Campers have the opportunity to select an entire week of rock climbing or an entire week of kayaking. Climbers will build top-rope anchors, learn to lead and crack climb. Kayakers will take on advanced whitewater, learn freestyle rodeo kayak moves as well as run some sweet waterfalls.

These day camp sessions are specifically designed for all campers who have mastered our traditional One Week Sessions and have earned a Level III patch. Our Advance Campers have three things in common: 1) The want to graduate as a Jedi Master from our Rock and River Master Program, 2) They desire the skills to kayak and climb outside of Passages and 3) They see themselves as a Passages Counselor one day.

The Advance Camp Guides are our most highly skilled and experienced kayaking and climbing staff. The goal of our Guides is to challenge campers to achieve Levels IV and V by building hard-core skills and develop leadership. We maintain a 4:1 camper to Guide ratio to ensure the success of each of our Advance Campers.

Included in the price of a week of Advance Kayaking Camp are two kayak rolling sessions for each camper. They take place in the weeks leading up to camp so each camper can hit the river rolling!
