Overnight Camps: Ages 11-17
Experience Passages 24 hours a day with one of our fantastic overnight camps. Learn to survive off the land with our Wilderness Survival Skills in western Goochland, or climb and rappel in West Virginia during Rock Week. There’s also River Week-a seven day kayaking trip to the New River Gorge and Fat Tire Expedition, 5 days of shredding the trails throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Want to learn how to survive off the land? Build a debris hut, create fire using primitive methods, learn how to identify plants and tracks, and more. This 5 day, 4 night camp will have to prepared to live in the wild by the end of the week! Basic Coed, GIRLS ONLY, and Advance Wilderness Survival options available.
The New River Gorge in West Virginia is one of the premiere climbing crags in the country featuring thousands of routes on beautiful sandstone. This camp takes you out there for a week on the real rock! Practice route finding, lead climbing, setting up anchors, and rappelling.
In 2018 River Week moved to western North Carolina! We'll paddle, depending on levels, the Ocoee, The Pigeon, The French Broad, The Nantahala, The Upper and Lower Green as well as a day-trip to the Charlotte Whitewater Center. By the time this week is over the James will seem like the lazy river and you'll be wanting bigger and badder rapids!
Travel to the Appalachian Mountains for a week on the trails. You'll travel to multiple destinations throughout Western North Carolina and see what the dirt and air feels like on the side of a real mountain!
There’s much more to a hiking expedition than putting one front in front of the other. We’ll help our Campers pull together all of the gear, planning, logistics, skills and mindset for an epic series of hikes and primitive camping experiences over 5 days in the St. Mary’s Wilderness / George Washington National Forest in Virginia.
