ADAPTIVE CLIMBING AT PEAK EXPERIENCES

ADAPTIVE CLIMBING AT PEAK EXPERIENCES

CLIMBING IS FOR EVERYONE

Our adaptive climbing program at Peak Experiences works to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in climbing by catering to variations in movement patterns. We provide assisted rope systems that accommodate individuals with both physical and invisible disabilities in a variety of ways. Not everyone needs a different rope system, so we’re also ready to train folks on the types of movement they’ll need to make it up the wall. By working towards universal accessibility, the program strives to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can fully participate and enjoy the sport of climbing.

We have a weekly schedule of adaptive climbing events, and hope to expand more. We also aim to expand this program beyond experiential adaptive climbing and include recreational and competitive climbing opportunities soon.

Schedule:

  • UpEnding Parkinson’s: Tuesday mornings @ Peak Midlo

  • Sportable: Tuesday Nights @ Peak RVA
