We love climbing, and we’ve spent the last 25 years sharing that love with those in the Greater Richmond Area. However, we recognize that climbing is still financially inaccessible to a lot of people, especially those who are historically and systematically oppressed. In particular, we’re attempting to create more access for the BIPoC folks in our community. 

So, we’ve created our Belong Program, to reduce or eliminate the price of membership for those who consistently face hardships that make affording a full-price membership difficult, and especially for BiPOC or folks from marginalized communities. We do acknowledge financial hardship is only one part of the difficulties people face in accessing climbing.

This membership offering is just part of the work we’re doing to improve the diversity and inclusivity of climbing. We work with a wide variety of local organizations to increase access to climbing.

How it works:

• Belong Program participants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. You can complete the application below, and our Membership Director will get back to you quickly to let you know the status of your application.

• Each applicant can choose between two tiers of scholarship; 50%, or 75%

• The Belong Program is 6 months long. You may cancel the membership at any time, but we do not allow membership freezes.

• If you still need assistance at the end of your contract, you may reapply 1 time.

• Memberships can be canceled at any time, and the benefit will be redistributed to the next person on the waitlist.

• The Belong Program includes rental gear (shoes, harness, chalk, and belay devices) for each visit as part of the membership. They also retain all the perks of any other Peak Experiences membership, free and discounted courses included.
